The Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has said that he cannot wait to bring an end to the nightmare results he has experienced against Liverpool since completing his £ 50 million move to Chelsea a few seasons ago. Fernando Torres was one of the most prolific scorers in the Premier league before his move to Chelsea. Since the move to the capital club, Chelsea have one of the worst records against Liverpool both home and away. In his first match against Liverpool, Fernando Torres could not prevent the team from going to a defeat. Since then, he has suffered numerous defeats against Liverpool and is hoping that things finally go his way when Chelsea take on Liverpool during this weekend.

Even though this is one of the worst Liverpool teams to come to Stamford Bridge after many years, Fernando Torres is not taking them lightly because of the presence of players like Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez. Despite such high profile names, Liverpool are in the bottom half of the table in the unlikely to qualify for the Champions league for the fourth consecutive season. Chelsea have had only one success against Liverpool – the FA Cup final last season. Torres was not part of the starting line-up back then.

“It’s a big game and now we are in second position in the table. We want to be at the top as soon as we can, so the first step is winning against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. They are really looking forward to the game because they need points, they need to win these kinds of big games to get confidence. But we also need them so hopefully the three points can stay at Stamford Bridge,” said the Spaniard about his former club. Torres has also revealed that he still speaks with a lot of Liverpool players.
